• RECEPTIONIST - DUNDEE

  Receptionist

  Part-Time | 26.5 Hours Per Week

  At Duchess Lounge, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional treatments and outstanding customer experiences in a luxury salon environment. We are looking for a confident, polished and professional Receptionist to become the face of our salon and help ensure every client receives a five-star experience.

  This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves people, thrives in a busy environment and has a genuine interest in the beauty industry.

  Working Hours

  • Wednesday: 3.00pm – 7.30pm
  • Thursday: 3.00pm – 7.30pm
  • Friday: 9.00am – 7.30pm
  • Saturday: 8.30am – 4.30pm

   

  The Role

  As the first and last point of contact for our clients, you will be responsible for creating a warm welcome, managing bookings, supporting the salon team with a variety of tasks and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the salon.

  Responsibilities

  • Welcoming clients and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Managing appointment bookings and client enquiries
  • Answering calls, emails and online messages
  • Processing payments and daily cashing up
  • Promoting salon services and retail products
  • Maintaining client records and appointment schedules
  • Supporting the wider team including the senior salon manager to ensure smooth salon operations
  • Keeping reception and client areas immaculate and professional

  About You

  • Previous reception, front-of-house or customer service experience is essential
  • Experience within a beauty, hair, spa or wellness environment is preferred
  • Friendly, professional and well-presented
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly confident and experienced with technology, booking systems and social media
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences

  Please note: This position is not suitable for students due to the fixed working hours and long-term commitment required.

  Duchess Lounge are delighted to be recruiting a qualified Beauty Therapist, working at our Luxury Nail & Beauty Salon in Broughty Ferry, Dundee. An expert in your field you will be part of an elite team who strive for excellence as standard.

  ABOUT DUCHESS LOUNGE Duchess Lounge Luxury Nail & Beauty Salon is proudly located in Broughty Ferry, Dundee. The team of highly skilled and educated nail and beauty experts ensure every treatment exceeds client expectations and pride themselves on providing a warm and friendly atmosphere at all times. We choose to focus on only the finest professional products and all treatments have been carefully selected for being of the highest quality. Our owner and manager, Nicola Payne, is intensely passionate about professionalism and customer care.

  DUTIES As a therapist at Duchess Lounge, you'll provide the highest quality client treatments using the most elite products including CACI, Skin Rocks, Crystal Clear, CND, Wax: One, Sienna X and Nouveau to name a few. You'll be performing a wide variety of beauty treatments including but not limited to facials, waxing, mani/pedi, lashes, tanning and brows. In addition, general reception duties, checking and maintaining stock levels, providing product and treatment advice as well as recording and maintaining client medical history and treatment details. You'll be great with people, a strong, positive, well-mannered communicator who has the ability to recommend aftercare products and recommendations in line with client requirements and treatments.

  REQUIREMENTS 

  • HNC/HND, L2 & L3 or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • We're looking for an individual who is well presented with a neat, polished personal appearance at all times. You must have a friendly and welcoming manner with the ability to make sure clients are relaxed and comfortable.
  • Must be well organised, self motivated and have a keen awareness of health and safety issues and procedures.
  • Ideal candidate will be computer literate with a good knowledge of a computerised booking system, have great time management skills and recent experience of an appointment led working day.
  • You'll be a great listener to truly understand the needs of the client, guaranteeing satisfaction with every treatment. As part of a small team you must be pro active, go the extra mile and work calmly under pressure.
  • You should be great at multi-tasking while delivering 5 star customer service at all times.
  • Retail sales are an important part of our business and a fantastic opportunity for you to earn commission, therefore previous experience of a retail environment would be beneficial.
  • We're looking for a F/T and P/T team member, but you must have the flexibility to occasionally work days/times out with your core hours to cover busy periods, sickness and annual leave as required by the business.

  TRAINING Conversion and product specific training is available for the right candidate.
