OUR COVID-19 SAFETY POLICY

We're SERIOUS about our COVID SAFE environment. Please take a moment to read through the guidelines below prior to your next salon appointment...
PPE - Upon arrival please ensure you are wearing a face covering. If you forget, one will be provided. We’ll also have a disinfected plastic visor available, if you wish to wear one for added protection. Our team members will be wearing FFP3 face masks and plastic visors for all treatments plus gloves where applicable. Perspex screens will also be in place to ensure your comfort and safety in ALL treatment areas and reception.
COVID SYMPTOMS - It’s very important that you stay at home if you have symptoms that may be caused by coronavirus (COVID-19), or you’ve had a positive test result. You should also stay at home if someone you live with or someone in your extended household has symptoms, or if you’ve been identified as a close contact of someone who has tested positive (until you get a negative PCR test and refer to current Government isolation rules with regards to Covid vaccines).
ARRIVAL & WAITING - Please try to arrive no earlier than your scheduled appointment time. Our waiting areas have limited seating. Unfortunately we’re unable to offer refreshments throughout your visit.
NO WALK-INS - We’re unable to accept walk-ins, therefore patch tests must be booked in advance.
DIGITAL CONSULTATION - Digital consultation forms MUST be completed prior to arrival. We will be sending all consultation forms via email, a minimum of 48 hours prior to your appointment.
PATCH TESTING - Previously a patch test was required a minimum of 48 hours prior to initial treatment and the result would stay on file for 12 months. A further patch test would not be required within this period unless there had been a change in medical history. However, if you have either contracted the COVID-19 virus and/or received the COVID-19 vaccine, these both are regarded as a change in medical history and will require a new patch test. A period of at least 14 days from each vaccine or a positive test result must have passed to enable us to patch test.
NEW CLIENTS All new clients are required to have a patch test a minimum of 48 hours prior to their treatment. These must be booked in advance and can be booked online by clicking here: www.duchesslounge.com/book-now. HOWEVER if/when you receive the COVID-19 vaccine and/or contract the virus, you are then required to have another patch test. A period of at least 14 days from each vaccine or a positive test result must have passed to enable us to patch test.
RETURNING CLIENTS If you received the treatment at Duchess Lounge within 6 months of your appointment date, you will not be required to book a new patch test. HOWEVER if/when you receive the COVID-19 vaccine and/or contract the virus, you are then required to have another patch test. A period of at least 14 days from each vaccine or a positive test result must have passed to enable us to patch test.
IF YOU ARE UNSURE WHETHER YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BOOK A NEW PATCH TEST PLEASE CONTACT US.
HAND WASHING - You’ll be asked to sanitise hands immediately upon arrival and then also asked to wash your hands once you’re within your designated treatment area.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS - Please come alone to your appointment and minimise the personal belongings you bring into the salon. We’ll ask you to keep all keys, purses and mobile phones in your bag for the duration of your treatment for hygiene reasons.
SOCIAL DISTANCING - Respect all social distancing measures in place throughout your salon journey. When you next visit our salons you’ll notice various floor markings and signage throughout. Please pay close attention to ensure the safety of yourself and others, for the full duration of your visit.
PAYMENT - Our payment preference is via card, however we are still accepting cash.
SALON HYGIENE - We’ve always been proud of our exceptional hygiene standards at Duchess Lounge however we’ve recently introduced and increased measures to ensure your safety. As standard all equipment and tools used for each treatment are sanitised and disinfected every time. We’ll also be using a high level surface disinfectant biomister daily throughout the entire salon to ensure all areas, even those out of reach are thoroughly disinfected. Our toilets are open and we continue to monitor and disinfect these after every use.
SPECIAL REQUESTS - If you have any special requests please let us know as we are confident we will be able to safely accommodate any special requests as your safety truly is our priority. We look forward to welcoming you back SAFELY into Duchess Lounge.
